Artist's Comments
My entry for the Steampunk challenge over at Cgtalk that didn't make the deadline. Was busy with something else at the time. Wasn't feeling all too comfortable with my art that time either.
Perseus drops onto the sacrificial platform to save the chained Andromeda from the wrath of the Kraken. Instead of arriving on Pegasus, I made him wear this steam-powered heli-pack. That canister-like red thing that he's holding up is suppose to resemble Medusa's head. Hell I dunno, I just tried to make everything look steampunk. CnC welcome. Daily DeviationGiven 2009-07-28perseus faces the kraken by *ahbeejieh is an epic work! The compostion, the movement, the painting skills of the artist and of course the ammount of details contribute to it. That is a work that can leave you speechless and staring. It's wonderful that while painting such a dynamic scene the artist haven't forgotten about the details. It may take you some time to notice all the little things (Suggested by *Cocodrillo and Featured by ^archanN) CommentsVery nice man. Incredible movement and sense of impeding doom XD

Colours are great, and I like the use of the motion blurring, especially how the artist got the water spray to look like its going in different directions. Couldnt have been easy.
Im not sure what "impact" and "vision" represent so I gave them five as well. Better safe than sorry I guess.
I ran out of stuff to say...
