~In this battle that we call life, the enemy is equipped with armor and is trained to swing an 80 pound flanged mace on your head… Man must fight through the dark, muddy, rocky, and slippery plains of existence trusting only their own instincts… But running on instincts alone is not enough. The soldiers will not last the night… For the Demon Prince of Pride and Ego is the Champion of the opposition, and his power over men is absolute. Fortunately, Man also has their own Champion… They have the Woman. With her Charm, she provides light in the darkest places; with her Grace; she sends down a rain of inspiration that boosts willpower; and with her Strength, she provides a barrage of fury to those who dare stand in her way… She is the Pillar of Man… And she is Man’s only hope against the brutal realities of this world.

Painted over my Spectacular Challenge Entry over at cgtalk.com. The image turned up a lot crazier than expected... There's a lotta stuff going on in the picture.
I had fun with this though. I noticed that my strokes are a lot looser than before... That has to be good ;P

rain by *ahbeejieh leaves me on the speechless side but if I had to put it into words, I would say this is conflict on a biblical scale, where both sides cannot fail and powers too great to comprehend are at work. Take a look at this one, a very long look, and be amazed at the work behind this. (Suggested by =premutos and Featured by `Aeires)

This is a simply sublime work. The details in it are amazing and rendered down to the finest detail. The rain isn't intrusive and rather adds to the atmosphere instead of detracting from it. The warring armies are exquisitely rendered, the fires burning in the wreckage so real one could almost reach out and touch them. I love the huge mace that vanishes back into the fog, and the smoke-sylphs are just superb. There is very, very little to criticize here - I would only suggest perhaps making the blue fire of the sylph-arrows impact points a little more electric and visible, and perhaps have faint smoke trails coming from the sylph-trails as they emanate from the person's staff. Just a thought, though. This is a superb piece.

Very good comment man. I love that "electric" idea of yours... I'll see what I can do with it to make it stand out more. Big thanks for stopping by DukeEzra!
